Remember Weissglass? How many times did we cross Forest Ave after playing ball all day and walk inside the depot to drink from that water fountain with the coldest water in the whole world!
Look at this beauty! This is South Ave the way it should be... beat-up, pot-holes, cat-tails, old furniture & dead animals! They were actually thinking about building an amusement park in this area. How many morning's did you find yourself speeding down this road because you were late for a game?

Here's the intersection of Richmond Ave and Victory Blvd. Remember that small aquarium? It used to stand about where that ugly commercial office building is now.
This is what our neighborhood looked like back in the 1930's. One big rock pile! Well, we didn't do any ice-skating or swimming... but we did do our share of sliegh-riding, hanging out, and beer drinking in the part of the Quarry alongside of Forest Ave.
